While in Austin for the New Years, Liz and I decided to got to trendy hot-dog place downtown: Frank, located also on Yelp. Since this was our second time, here, we knew what we liked and we knew not to order too much food.
I got a chili-cheese hot dog with onions, mustard, and cheese on top. While it was no Top Dog (Berkeley) or Hot Doug’s (Chicago), it does offer a reasonably priced basic hot dog, as well as a few overpriced specialty dogs. While the speciality dogs are different, they aren’t really that “special”, so I’d recommend you stick to what you know works and leave experimenting to other restaurants.
Liz got the veggie beanie weenies. Nothing special but at least they’re vegetarian.
And we also had an order of waffle fries.
Overall, not bad for a light lunch date.
